We create art and community events in the unique spaces of Saltaire and present exciting and challenging contemporary visual art in accessible settings, inspiring people of all ages and backgrounds to take part.
We use public buildings and private homes as venues in order to encourage and reach out to new audiences and communities, and to attract artists to exhibit and respond. We also provide creative learning experiences by offering free workshops and drop-in sessions on anything from film animation to den-building.
Our Events
We run three events annually:
Saltaire Arts Trail in May – featuring Open Village, Makers Fair and a host of creative activities
Contemporary Makers Fairs – in May and September
The Saltaire Living Advent Calendar – in December
We aim to produce really wonderful, high quality events and activities that are affordable to all, and in most cases free. Funds come from a mix of grants, sponsorship, advertising, fees and donations. Any profits from fundraising go to making our arts and community work better.
