Alex Blakey is a mixed media and glass artist based in Meltham, Holmfirth. Her practice is informed by memory, people and place.
Her work draws inspiration from individual and collective stories and memories. She captures these moments in carefully handcrafted glass and develops their tales through mixed media works of art.
Alex’s work brings together both fused glass and wood and aims to capture the materials unique characteristics. Her focus is on natural and muted tones, with the focus on capturing the story behind each individual piece.
