Frances Arnold
Frances Arnold (UK. b. 1987) creates abstract screenprints inspired by rural landscapes and urban architecture. Her minimalist prints playfully alter perception, shifting the eye between illusions of space and the material reality of ink and paper. Geometric lines combine with textures and colour to convey an image in flux.
She studied Fine Art at Newcastle University and lives in Northumberland, UK. Exhibition highlights include, Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Northern Print and PrintFest.
She has held residencies in UK, Sweden and Norway, and is a current recipient of Arts Council England’s Developing Your Creative Practice grant.
