Hang Zhang

Hang Zhang’s projects usually arrive from a personal place but explore wider issues surrounding identity and equality. This space shares recent and new projects that blur politics, fiction and storytelling in an accessible and engaging way.

Zhang’s practice-led PhD project is on investigating the epochal impacts of post-colonisation on the cultural images of lamoid species (including domesticated llama and alpaca, vicuña and wild guanac), through creatively practising embodiment of 3 personae. In Saltaire Open Village she will showcase part of the research result through visual art.
