Ian Tothill

Ian makes collages which reflect his interest in creating art from discarded materials. He combines photographic and graphic elements. He includes hints of narrative and characterisation, observations and commentary.  His pictures have been selected for inclusion in group and solo exhibitions in UK, Russia, India, Indonesia and USA. Images have been included in books and zines and he was the recent cover artist for international collage journal ‘Cut Me Up’.

He loves the freedom and playfulness of the medium. The sources are getting ever wider, from found photos to bits of interesting-looking rubbish in the street.
