Kevin France Enamel Art
Working with high fired vitreous enamel on copper, a media so wonderful yet frustrating, you never know the outcome of a piece of work until it fully cools. Work can have multiple firings creating layers of colours, temperature and time are critical as colours change; during the firing process, in the most unexpected way thus giving each piece its uniqueness. Fusion of enamel to the metal and the tensions within, means ideas may be reproduced, but they will never be the same as the piece before due to the variables of enamel powder, furnace temperature and the metal used.
