Megan Carter
Megan is a local surface pattern designer who creates a combination of hand stencilled and digital printed lifestyle products. All her hand printed designs are created using hand cut stencilling techniques in her West Yorkshire studio.
She chooses to work to a sustainable ethos using eco-friendly printing inks and certified organic fabric. After printing, each fabric product has been made in collaboration with a local upholsterer and seamstress.
Megan also creates hand painted and digital printed paper products that are printed using a UK-based printing business. Her bold, colourful floral patterns take inspiration from both nature and historical design movements. Favourites include the Arts and Crafts Movement, Art Nouveau and the Wiener Werkstatte and Art Deco.
