Megan Carter is a UK-based Surface Pattern Designer known for her bold, stylized patterns that combine a modern sensibility with a love for design history.
Drawing inspiration from the natural world, particularly flowers, Megan’s work reflects a fresh interpretation of classic design motifs. After years of creating digitally created patterns, Megan has returned to a hands-on, slow-making technique of hand cut stencilling to create her patterns.
All her hand-printed designs are created in her West Yorkshire studio, with a strong focus on sustainability. Megan uses eco-friendly printing inks to print onto certified organic fabrics to ensure that each piece is as environmentally conscious as it is beautiful.
