He is a ceramicist working with coil and slab techniques. Believing this allows him a better connection to the clay and it’s origins. His work is created using his hands and a few simple tools. Using a colourful palette of glazes, under glazes and oxides to create illustration and sgraffito decorative techniques. He embraces the unique characteristics of the hand building process. The clay can dictate his creations, feeding his imagination and spontaneity. He appreciates creative imperfections as they provide drama and movement to the pieces.
