Emma Pinnock

Emma is a northern female artist born and bred in Gateshead currently based in Manchester. The major part of her work is linocut, printing on paper. Her work is currently going through a transitional period that includes the introduction of more colour and fluid mark making, Emma has been experimenting with mono printing, mini screen prints, line drawings and developing a colour palette through painting.

She is inspired by various themes but her overriding thoughts are about processes. Fundamentally the physical nature of creating the work, the movement of her body, building a personal language of marks when drawing or printing. Drawing is central to this, it’s a device she uses to reshape her experiences and processes, which underpins all of her outcomes.
