William and Tilda
William and Tilda draws inspiration from the resilient spirit of 1940s wartime Britain, centred around the timeless art of sewing. Founded and led by vintage seamstress and professional costumier Becky Davies-Downes, she breathes life into the history of the accessories she creates, unravelling tales of resourcefulness and determination.
Each piece is crafted from original patterns, celebrating the best of 1940s wartime style. Heavily influenced by the ‘make do and mend’ scheme, Becky empowers others to pick up a needle and continue the long tradition of extending the life of beloved wardrobe pieces through demonstrations and workshops. She will be showcasing some of the stitches she uses on her stand.
