ACCESS:

Open Village
Due to the nature of Saltaire’s historic buildings, we cannot guarantee that all venues have level access. For more information on the 2025 Arts Trail venues, please download our 2025 Trail Map here (pdf).

Saltaire Arts Trail Exhibitions
Salts Mill: Disabled parking spaces are available. Level access to all public areas and the lift is through the tunnel opposite these parking spaces. Accessible toilets are located on the ground floor and the 2nd floor.
Wash House Gardens: Exhibitions at this location can be viewed via level access
Saltaire Methodist Church: Exhibitions at this location can be viewed via level access. An accessible toilet is available.
Saltaire United Reformed Church Gardens: Exhibitions at this outdoor location can be viewed via level access.

Saltaire Makers Fair at Victoria Hall
Level access to the lower ground floor is at the Lockwood Street side entrance, with a lift to the ground and first floors. Accessible toilets are located on the ground floor and first floor.

Dog-Friendly spaces
Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome at the Saltaire Makers Fair at Victoria Hall.
Outdoor exhibitions at Saltaire United Reformed Church and Wash House gardens are dog-friendly.
As most of the Open Village locations are private homes, these are not suitable for dogs, however artwork displayed in yards and windows is more accessible. For more information on the 2025 Open Village venues, please download our 2025 Trail Map here (pdf).


TRAVEL:

Saltaire is in West Yorkshire, 3.5 miles north of Bradford City Centre and 10 miles north-west of Leeds.

BY TRAIN:

Saltaire and Shipley both have regular services from Bradford, Leeds (both a 15 min journey) and Skipton (a 25 min journey).

BY BUS:
Services 622, 662 and 60 operate along the A650 Keighley/Bradford Road.Other local buses include the 676, 678 and 679 (679 is a local service Shipley to Hirst Wood).

BY CAR:
Access to Saltaire and Shipley is via the A650 and the A657.
