Anoop Mistry

Mistry explores the properties of paint, resin, solvents, inks and pigments. He draws influences from the natural sciences, the cosmos and nature. This includes desire lines; the curves of organic forms. He uses these influences and combines them with both microscopic and macroscopic views of the world. He revels in manipulating the physical properties of paint to create tension between chaos and order. His process is ceremonial, instinctive and dynamic; reacting to the media very quickly, moment by moment, second by second, deciding what to leave and what to manipulate. In this way Mistry creates individualistic vibrant, abstract pieces.
