Crafted Creatures
Saltaire based artist and craftswoman Jayne Tunnicliffe is a lifelong animal lover.
Alongside her work as an actress (Happy Valley, Coronation Street, Phoenix Nights) and pop artist, she started making tartan patchwork hares back in 2015 and launched Crafted Creatures. Since then she has added deer, foxes, mice, badgers, sheep, squirrels, bears and even the odd horse, zebra and lion to her repertoire.
Jayne’s pop art sensibilities and love of the 1960s/70s inform her use of vivid colour. She loves to use recycled fabric where possible and all of her creations are lightweight, lifesize and animal friendly.
