Lee grew up in Huddersfield and spent many childhood days playing amongst the derelict mills that are our industrial heritage. After travelling extensively, he returned to his hometown and revisited childhood haunts, capturing the atmosphere and drama of the northern landscape, its social and industrial heritage and the lives of the people who lived and worked here.
Lee’s images are the result of hours roaming ancient footpaths, bridleways and turnpike roads, waiting patiently until light, wind and weather allow me to capture the right moment. Each image is presented as it was captured through his lens at that moment, a celebration of the majestic landscape of the North.
