Adele’s process involves scanning 19th century photographs and extracting the characters that she finds waiting for her in the past, then relocating them to new surroundings. She intertwines her subjects with creatures and adds in delicate foliage and detail creating a timeless, dreamlike picture.
Images are brought together using Photoshop, (including her own drawings and paintings), printed then hand finished using inks and gold leaf.
