Kate Thornton Design
Kate Thornton is a Huddersfield based artist producing distinctive collages and prints which draw inspiration from her love of birds and the natural world. Passionate about bird conservation and wild landscapes, Kate hopes to spark curiosity about wildlife and raise awareness of species decline through her work.
Working from her studio in an old textile mill, Kate explores these themes through mark making for her paper-cut collages and more recently the Risograph print process. If she had to choose, her favourite bird would be the Swift and she has a mild obsession with circles.
