Joanne is a handweaver based in Formby, on the NW coast of England, where she creates unique handwoven textiles, inspired by the landscape and history of her hometown. She works on a 16 shaft table loom and a restored 100 year old countermarche floor loom in her garden studio.
Joanne’s work often features double weave, where the loom is used as a means to explore the mixing of colours through the interlacing of yarns, to create beautiful shades reflecting the natural environment.
