Melissa Girling Bespoke Furniture

Following Arts and Crafts and Shaker traditions, Melissa Girling uses traditional techniques to design and create unique, handmade pieces in wood which bring together a simplicity of design, functionality and quality, built to last.

Alongside her furniture commissions, she makes hand-crafted boxes in Ash, designed as special gifts with a wide range of uses including artist’s materials, sewing/craft materials, jewellery, keepsakes, seeds, candles, etc. Each box comes with a choice of stacking trays and a flush opening or distinctive latch and peg made in collaboration with Metalsmith Helen Connor. She also makes bespoke boxes to cater for particular items/collections.
