Living in Pennine Yorkshire, Kath Bonson is surrounded by inspirational landscape and tries to convey its colours, forms and textures in ceramic pieces that can include impressed surfaces, screen-printed images and unique complex layers of glazes over natural earth oxides.
With all of her work she aims to create a ‘sense of place’, based around her upland landscape, that offers multiple layers of complexity and interpretation – both textural and visual.
