The window at Salts Works is from our friends at Rydals Museum in Sweden, featuring three works of art byMarks konstgrafiska verkstad, a collective workshop and acreative meeting place for working artists and for peopleof all ages who are interested in art and culture.
Madeleine Ekman Boldizar’s lemon print was made using two types of etched copper plates, a soft-ground etching and a sugar aquatint.
Vivi-Anne Bengtsson’s tree was created using Gelli print. She was inspired by the growing force of the woods in spring.
Ulla Karlsson’s three-ringed artwork was created with Gelli print. It is a combination of fantastical elements, a playful exploration of the scenery.
Rydals museum was formerly a mill and in 2019 Saltaire Inspired formed a partnership with them to help them create their own Living Advent Calendar. Each year, our window exchange takes place, hosting each others creations in our festive events.
