Amber Lily

Amber Lily’s practice is primarily based on colour, texture and mark making. Her pieces are inspired by everyday surroundings, such as litter and scuffs to graffiti and plants. The organic shapes and mixture of colours are often overlooked but can be made into something beautiful and considered. She combines these with intuitive composition and expressive embroidery as a form of self-expression.

The artwork is made up of dyed fabrics, collage, print and free motion embroidery. This is then quilted for a modern twist on traditional quilting, intended for the use of wall hangings.
