Anita’s work is process led; she is often pleasantly surprised with the marks she has made and prefers it this way because she is referencing our connection with the natural world, which, as we know is never consistent or rigid.
Anita started drawing flowers a few years ago after finding a collection of pressed flowers at her childhood home. Using this collection, made by her mother, she made a series of monotypes and from there started drawing wild flowers.
Anita wants her art to be joyful and she hopes people feel the same way when they look at her work.
