Ellie’s work explores the connection between nature and technology, using digital methods like photography, scanning, and printing to create intricate floral designs. Sustainably sourced plant matter informs her process, influencing textures, scale, and colour. While her practice involves meticulous digital editing, her inspiration stems from time spent in nature. Circular forms are a recurring theme, magnifying details within the natural world.
Recent works incorporate Screen-print and inkjet printing on paper and fabric, as well as acrylic discs that interact with light and shadows. Ellie has also created commissioned pieces for various clients, organisations and public spaces.
Ellie will also be exhibiting work at location 13, 21 Mary St (window).
