Handmade at Harcles
Sarah is a handweaver recently graduated from Bradford College, where she completed a Foundation Degree in Textile Practice. She is passionate about making productive use of locally sourced, environmentally sustainable materials such as wool, and supports the Campaign for Wool.
She weaves colourful cushions, throws and rugs with a mid-century feel in patterns inspired, among other things, by the bobbins, pirns and spinning mules used at Helmshore Mills Textile Museum in Lancashire, where she sometimes works as a volunteer. She also holds spinning and weaving workshops in her local area.
