Hannah is a local art and textiles facilitator, miniaturist, and visual artist, known as HanMade.
Hannah has worked with people of all ages and abilities, from Forest schools to Well-being sessions in art centers to focussed workshops in colleges, providing individual tutorials to planning and running community group projects. She has experience in archiving, curating, and exhibiting.
As well as facilitating art and textiles, Hannah has been an established miniature artist for over two decades, her work influenced by my love of nature, literature, and history. With Yorkshire having an abundance of these factors, it was inevitable that she would return to live and work here after many years of living in the South. With a strong textile background in both education (BA Hons in Textiles for Fashion and MA in Visual Arts) and work, there will usually be some stitch or two incorporated in her artwork. From the outset, her sculptural pieces appear delicate and enticing but upon closer inspection, she wants the viewer to see the darker side, something to be exposed and questioned. She gently pushes boundaries and raises questions, with the depth of this being solely up to the viewer.
