Helen explores the themes of nature and the environment through her paintings and drawings, whether it be the beauty of a landscape or plant, or animals and birds. Colour and light are explored using a variety of media ranging from traditional oil and acrylic paint to coloured pencils and mixed media.
In the past year Helen has been developing her skills in airbrush technique with acrylic inks and paints, to portray wildlife such as turtles and big cats. She aims for realism but uses colour and texture to present animals in different and novel ways. She enjoys creating portraits of animals and will undertake commissions from photographs on request.
Helen is Secretary of Fleet Art Society and started a shop on Etsy during 2021.
