Jane Middleton Art

Jane Middleton is an illustration artist. She makes lots of creative things to sell, as well as painting murals and involvement in teaching art in the community and in schools.

Story telling is a big part of what Jane creates. She draws empowered women and enjoys creating folklore and celestial inspired work. Her illustration is made to resonate with people; make them feel a sense of empowerment, of wonder or of solace. Her work is usually accompanied by a little message or an uplifting inspirational quote. Sometimes the words come first and other times the art composition is first.

Jane makes original hand printed illustration. The techniques she uses vary from monoprinting, to collagraph and dry point etching. Some of her work is a collaged combination of all the techniques. She has been experimenting with monoprint on fabric and has made a series of goddess dolls using this technique. Jane also works with ink and bleach mark making to produce digital collage.
