Jean White Ceramics
Jean creates slip cast parian ceramics using her own handmade plaster moulds and hand-finishing each piece. Her award winning work blends contemporary form with function, resulting in decorative, practical pieces such as lamps, mugs and vases.
A former professional illustrator, she brings her detailed drawings into her ceramics. Echoing fossil forms through convex and concave imagery, her work reflects on loss and legacy.
Jean has been featured in Ceramic Review and Ceramics Monthly, shortlisted for the International Ceramics Festival Emerging Artist award (2023), and won the Franz Rising Star Top Award (2020/21) with her Future Fossils collection.
