Klara Repas
Klara Repas is a Leeds-based gingerbread artist of Hungarian origin. She obtained a master’s degree in chemical engineering at the University of Pannonia in Hungary and a Certificate in Botanical Art and Illustration at the New York Botanical Garden. Her gingerbread creations are artistically recognized by the Hungarian Heritage House in Budapest.
Klara is deeply connected to nature. Her sources of inspiration are her travels, the folk customs of different countries, and the colours of everyday life. Klara has lived in Paris, Mumbai, New York, and now resides in Yorkshire. Creating gingerbread allows her to connect with new cultures while preserving her roots.
