The Baptist
The Baptist is a one woman show, founded by Evdokia Balatsouka originating from the foothills of Mountain Olympus. Her pieces are inspired by the ancients and skilfully crafted using time-honoured silversmithing methods, in the heart of Saltaire.
Drawing inspiration from her Greek heritage and academic background in Theology & Ancient Greek, designs are influenced by religious imagery and indulgent silhouettes. With expertise as a silversmith and jewellery appraiser with gemmology skills, ethically sourced gemstones and recycled precious metal alloys are utilized in her bespoke pieces, crafted on a made-to-order basis, promoting sustainable and environmentally conscious practices.
