Klara’s Gingerbread
Klara Repas is a certified Hungarian gingerbread folk artist and botanical artist trained at the New York Botanical Garden (NYBG). Her passion for embroidery inspires her unique embroidery-style icing technique, creating intricate hand-decorated gingerbread pieces.
Inspired by Yorkshire’s nature and everyday life, while rooted in Hungarian folk traditions, her work blends heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary storytelling.
Her gingerbread creations have been selected for the 18th Living Folk Art Exhibition at the Museum of Ethnography, Budapest, in October 2026.
