Emily J Parkin
Emily is a contemporary artist who’s background in furniture design and illustration, beautifully combines with a love of history and architecture to create colourful abstract artworks using the heritage craft technique of marquetry. Her studies of both the industrial revolution of the nineteenth century and the technological revolution of today come together in her series of work which reflects the, sometimes chaotic, physical spaces she inhabits.
Emily loves experimenting with challenging colour combinations and seeing how considered colour application can provide alternative viewpoints for the ordinary.
