Bronte Adam
Bronte is a printmaker who specialises in relief printing, her preferred method of printing is lino and woodblock. Bronte is a nature enthusiast and spends much of her spare time immersed in the environment on long walks or outdoor swimming. Bronte’s prints bring to life galah cockatoos perched in eucalyptus trees or plump ripe fruits and fauna. She studied Printed Textiles at Leeds ArtsUniversity; the bold stylised foliage and strong colours are a note to her discipline. She is also informed by textile designers such as Josef Frank or the patterns and compositions found in Iznikpottery from the Middle East.
