Nikita creates handcrafted wooden pieces through a playful exploration of different hardwoods. The collection includes hair pins, bud vases and jewellery, each individually shaped, finished and polished to celebrate the natural character of the material. A sense of curiosity runs throughout the work, particularly in the process of laminating contrasting woods together without a fixed outcome in mind. Experimenting with colour, grain and form allows new combinations and unexpected possibilities to reveal themselves.

Blending traditional craftsmanship with a spirit of play and discovery, Nikita embraces the process of working with wood and the excitement of seeing where it might lead.
