Helen makes domestic and decorative ware in a traditional toasted red body with handmade glazes, reflecting the landscapes of her beloved Teesside.  She throws simple, ergonomic forms and decorates them with layers of texture and colour based on the juxtaposed industrial, coastal and moorland sceneries around her.  Found objects and materials fired into the surfaces anchor the pieces in their environment.
