Jane Charles (Smallbean Stitchings)

Jane is known for her infamous ‘cotton reel trees’ and vintage fabric clocks, such a hit in last years Saltaire Arts Trail.

She sources wonderful fabrics to work with and adds hand-embroidered or appliquéd details to make unique little trees, including some new lino printing on fabric ranges.

Jane is also continuing to work on her site specific eco printing stories, collecting leaves from historical places and creating wonderful textile artworks around them, with batik, illustration and embroidery. A variety of inspiring textile techniques to see and stories to talk about.
