Jas Lewis Henman
Jas Lewis Henman (b. 1997) is a textile artist and illustrator based in Leeds, UK.
As well as creating sculptural art, they spend their time needle felting preloved knitwear into wearable art. Their work explores folklore and spirituality, combining depictions of plants, vegetables, and folk creatures with visceral self-portraits depicting complex mental health.
By contrasting simplistic forms against detailed facial features, Lewis Henman creates a unique visual language centered around emotions, nature and sustainability.
