Katherine Hill Handmade

Katherine is a textile artist based in Nottingham. She works with recycled and vintage fabric, and uses appliqué (collage with fabric) to create pictures which she turns into one-of-a-kind textile products. She uses her own designs – usually animal-based – bringing them to life by mixing the colours, patterns and textures within the fabric.

In addition she enjoys converting old eggcups into tiny pin cushions. Each one uses at least five different fabrics, giving her another opportunity to indulge her passion for mixing colours and patterns – just on a much smaller scale.
