Nina Hunter (Resident Artist)

Nina (MA in Fine Arts) is an oil painter, art teacher and pianist. Her slow-paced life on the edge of the river in Yorkshire resembles much of the philosophy she’s exploring.
In her work, Nina presents her own spiritual reflections of a female as sacred and sensual energy. Celebrating women for their magnetic being, the hero of Nina’s paintings is a symbol of Feminine Divine, the healing force in our masculine driven world. Nina is aspiring to capture it on canvas through delicate colour and expressive brush strokes, that together with the individual mood, create undefined stillness and peace. The juxtaposition of figurative and abstract approaches presents a beautiful dance between the opposite energies. Finding harmony between Yin and Yang is a foundation for inner peace.
