Rebecca Perry Ceramics

Rebecca’s ceramic practice is driven by her expressive drawings, with the abstract marks influenced by abandoned spaces and graffitied walls. She looks at the natural and urban landscape and how organic matter and rusted metal are juxtaposed. The bold strokes of paint and scratched markings relate to her two-dimensional mark-making and the energetic abstract painting that she has developed. The marks and lines that are produced become gestural as the surface is used as a vehicle for her drawings.
