Rochelle Malia
Rochelle’s practice is focused on exploring emotion, mindfulness, intuition, and play. They destroy the vessels they make, capturing the event in print and vessels alike. Creating the vessels is an act of mindfulness, grounding their emotions by focusing only on meticulously crafting. Destroying the vessels offers a space for play, to release control.
This process-focused practice is healing for them. They are interested in using making and destroying as a form of connection. Using creativity as a tool to connect rather than to create physical things. To centre the experience and emotion.
