Rowan Bridgwood
Rowan is a textile artist based in Queensbury, Bradford. She draws inspiration from folklore, the natural world and personal experiences to create embroidered pieces full of narrative and meaning. By meticulously hand stitching onto inherited and reclaimed fabrics, Rowan breathes new life and new stories into materials steeped in history and memory.
Her work has been exhibited throughout the North, including The Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair, Home, Platform Gallery and Heart Gallery.
Rowan also co-runs Thread Collective, regular stitch socials held throughout the North.
BRADFORD-BASED ARTIST: Our programme always features a wealth of locally-based talent, and we are especially proud to champion local artists this year, as we celebrate Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture.
