Mark Gittins Pottery

Mark makes functional pottery with a modern rustic feel from his studio in North Nottinghamshire. Mainly working with stoneware clay and with glazes that he develops and mixes himself, he makes everyday pots intended to be used and enjoyed. Some of his work is woodfired with the Sherwood Forest Woodfiring Group, while the rest is fired in an electric kiln. His work is straightforward and un-fussy, celebrating the character of the materials and the marks of making.
