Lauren’s practise looks into themes of hedonism and nostalgia. This is mainly explored through the medium of film photography, and digital drawing, with some experimentation in collage and photo editing. She uses the colour pink in a literal way making reference to rosy retrospection, to highlight the way some people recall their past more fondly than the present. She also uses it to convey how nostalgia can invoke feelings of love, affection and pride, even for moments you did not experience yourself.
