Ian Tothill

Ian makes collages in response to the world around him. The source materials are really important, old photos, used scratch cards, bits of wallpaper, and prepared papers all get mixed together until there is a coherent whole. The subjects range from surreal flights of fancy to abstract compositions taking in distorted landscapes, illustrations for novels and fragmented portraits along the way.

Ian has exhibited widely around the world and has had collages included in many publications. He is the founder of South Square Collage Club and loves to bring people into this most accessible art form.
