Madiha Aziz
Madiha is currently studying on the BA (Hons ) Visual Arts course (level 6).
Mahida combines textiles and photography to create work that is visually pleasing to the eye. Her use of abstract imagery as a symbol of portraying the landmarks of Bradford is mesmeric. Using digital editing she introduces ideas surrounding topographic maps. The abstract lines in the collages were used to complement the rich photography and engage with the audience. Her subtle architectural inspired pieces where the centre of the hoops imitate the topographic map areas surrounding Bradford, are imaginative. Furthermore, the use of thread becomes a symbol of how she was unable to explore the city of Bradford during the pandemic.
