Thrift Design
Artist Lucy Ann Wray BA explores and develops unwanted materials to create art from salvaged resources. Inspired by the British countryside, each creation is unique. Lucy cuts, glues, stitches materials often thought of as rubbish to make her delightful designs. She really captures their personalities with her layered 3D effect.
Working in this way she aims to highlight how our overconsumption of single-use materials is affecting our environment. Her work has been admired by Crafts Council and Wayne Hemmingway.
